HRC26: The Czech Republic condemned human rights violations in Eritrea

During the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on human rights situation in Eritrea Ms Sheila Keetharuth, the Czech Republic condemned the continuing massive human rights violations in the country.
The Czech Republic expressed its concern over the fate of numerous refugees leaving Eritrea mainly due to the indefinite national service and arbitrary arrests and detention. The Czech Republic was interested to hear more about the cooperation of African regional mechanisms with the Special Rapporteur.
The Czech Republic urged the Government of Eritrea to cooperate fully with the Special Rapporteur and allow her to visit the country.
