HRC35: Czech Republic underscored the imperative of an enabling civic environment and the exercise of the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly

On 7th June 2017, the Czech Republic participated in the Clustered Interactive Dialogue with newly appointed Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly. 
 

In the Dialogue the Czech Republic underlined the role of civil society in the context of elections and its own initiative at the HRC, focusing on equal participation in political and public affairs, respectively on democratic elections, democratization processes and civic participation at large.
