HRC: The Czech Republic on the Central African Republic

The Czech Republic supported convening of the Special Session of the Human Rights Council on the situation in the Central African Republic, which was held in Geneva on 20th January 2014.
In its statement, the Czech Republic condemned the cycles of violence and international humanitarian law violations, expressed concern over volatile human rights situation. Special attention was paid to the situation of women and children. The Czech Republic welcomed the decision to appoint Madame MarieThérèse Keita Bocoum as an independent expert on the situation in the Central African Republic.
