During its 20th Session the Human Rights Council held an interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur, Mr. Maina Kiai, on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association.
The debate was based on his report, which is available at the website:

In addition to the standard alignment with the European Union intervention, the delegation of the Czech Republic participated in the interactive dialogue with its national statement. The delegation underlined the importance of these fundamental freedoms for civic activities, regretted that these freedoms were totally or partially denied in many countries, and supported some of best practices identified in the report of the Special Rapporteur.
Full version of the statement made by the Czech Republic is attached.
