In addition to the standard alignment with the European Union intervention, the delegation of the Czech Republic participated in a general debate with its national statement. The delegation welcomed contribution of the High Commissioner and her Office to the effective, principled and transparent response to various human rights challenges in the past twenty years (rule of law, transitional justice). In the statement the Czech Republic also expressed its concerns about any measures, including legislative ones, which may hinder legitimate activities, or undermine the functioning of non-governmental organizations.
