Minister Karel Schwarzenberg attended United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg attended the 19th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva on February 28-29.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg attended the 19th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva on February 29, 2012. In his address to the Council he commemorated the legacy of  former President of the Czech Republic, Václav Havel,  and expressed concern over persecution of many human rights defenders in today’ world. Minister also took part in the High-level segment panel on freedom of expression on internet and together with Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva opened an exhibition of photos of Václav Havel.
