Czech parliamentry delegation at the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly

The Czech parliamentary delegation took part in the 130th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly which was held from 16th till 20th March 2014 in Geneva.

The Czech Parliament was represented by members of the Standing Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the composition of 5 deputies  (K. Konečná, R. Maxová, D. Váhalová, F. Adámek a J. Lobkowicz) and 2 senators (P. Guziana, J. Doubrava), with an equal representation of women and men. Beside other agenda items (disarmament, sustainable development, human rights, Central African Republic), the 130th IPU Assembly elected new Secretary General, Cameroonian Martin Chungong, who is the first African to hold the post in its125-year history.
