Ambassador Galuška presented his credentials to the Director-General of the UN Office

Ambassador Vladimír Galuška, the new Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the international organizations in Vienna, presented his credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Vienna.

On 5 August 2013, H.E. Vladimír Galuška, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and the new Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and other international organizations in Vienna, handed over his credentials to Mr. Yury Fedotov, Director-General of the United Nations Office in Vienna and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

Mr. Fedotov appreciated the fact that Mr. Galuška has long-standing experience in multilateral diplomacy and praised the active approach of his predecessor. He specifically emphasized the resolution on HIV and drugs successfully tabled by the Czech Republic this year in the Commission on Narcotic Drugs.

Ambassador Galuška expressed unrelenting support of the Czech Republic to the activities of the United Nations Office in Vienna. He stated that our successful candidature in April elections to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs for the period 2014-2017 would enable us to pursue our active approach to the activities of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
