Ambassador Mr. M. Stašek presented his Credentials in Bhutan

Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. Miloslav Stašek presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan on 15th August 2013.

Ambassador Mr. Miloslav Stašek is the first Envoy of the Czech Republic to become Ambassador accredited to Bhutan Kingdom, after the Czech Republic established the diplomatic relations with Kingdom of Bhutan in December 2011.

The ceremony took place in Tashichhodzong and was followed by Zhugdrel Phunsum Tshogpa (Traditional Tea Ceremony). The ceremony was followed by the audience of His Majesty King of Bhutan.

Ambassador Mr. Miloslav Stašek also held the meeting with Prime Minister of Bhutan Mr. Tshering Tobgay, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Rinzin Dorge, Minister of Interior and Culture Mr. Damcho Dorji, Minister for Works & Human Resources Mrs. S. Dorji Choden, Minister for Economic Affairs Mr. N. Wangchuck, Secretary of National Environment Commission Mr. Ugyen Tshewang, Foreign Secretary Mr. Yeshey Dorji and representatives of other Bhutanese institutions.

The meetings provided an excellent chance to establish closer links with the new Government of Bhutan after the elections in July 2013.
