Bilateral visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Jan Kohout to India

Mr. Jan Kohout, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, visited India on 7 – 8 November 2013.
Minister Jan Kohout came to India accompanied by Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic Mr. Jiri Balvin together with Director General of Czech National Museum Mr. Michal Lukeš and representatives of Czech film industry, Deputy Minister of Environment Mr. Tomas Tesar, representatives of Senate, Ministry of Industry and Trade, business delegation and media.
The aim of the visit was to support Czech companies in their bids to establish trade relations with India and support the cultural and tourist Exchange. In this purpose, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Jan Kohout met with Minister of External Affairs of India Mr. Salman Khurshid, Minister of Commerce of India Mr. Anand Sharma, Minister of Heavy Industries of India Mr. Praful Patel and opened the exhibition of „Czech Castles“, together with Minister of Culture Mr. Jiri Balvin and Minister of Culture of India Mrs. K. K. Katoch in „Quarter Guard“ Gallery of Red Fort in New Delhi.
Deputy Minister of Environment Mr. Tomas Tesar met Deputy Minister of Environment of India and Chairman of Central Zoo Authority Mr. Bishan S. Bonalem (Member Secretary) and Dr. Brij K. Gupta (Evaluation Officer).
Minister Jan Kohout also opened „Czech – India Business Forum“ which took place on 7 November in the headquarters of FICCI.
On the occasion, two agreements were signed between Královopolská RIA and Gama Energy and between Královopolská RIA and Kalyanpur Cement.
