Visit of Ambassador Mr. Miloslav Stašek to Jammu & Kashmir

Ambassador Mr. Miloslav Stašek paid his first official visit to Jammu & Kashmir on 15 – 17 April 2013 where he met top state politicians and representatives of business community.
Ambassador Mr. Miloslav Stašek accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Mrs. Andrea Kučerová met in Jammu (winter seat of Jammu & Kashmir Government) Governor Mr. Narinder Nath Vohra, Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdulláh, Minister of Tourism Mr. Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Minister of Forestry, Ecology and Environment Mr. Mian Altaf Ahmed, Minister for Higher Education Mr. Muhammad Akbar Lone and Minister of Agriculture Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir.
Ambassador Mr. Stašek also met with representatives of political parties from local Parliament, such as National Conference Party (NCP), Indian National Congress (INC), People´s Democratic Party (PDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), National Panthers Party (NPP) and CPI (M).
Czech delegation met with representatives of Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu with whom they discussed possibilities for cooperation in water management, hydro power, food processing industry, agriculture, civil aviation and infrastructure development.
Ambassador Mr. Miloslav Stašek also held meeting with Dean of University of Jammu Mr. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and addressed students of University of Jammu about the political, economic and social issues in the Czech Republic.
