Pre-launch of new version of Skoda Superb in Czech Embassy

Exclusive pre-launch of new Skoda Superb for the Indian market took place in Czech Embassy on 1 Feb 2014.
SKODA continues its model offensive in India and makes a promising start to 2014 with the unveiling of redesigned SKODA Superb. Selected audience of 150 people took part in the exclusive re-launch of a new version of SKODA Superb on 1 February 2014, which took place in the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi. The crowd consisted of SKODA Auto main dealers.
The special evening was inaugurated by Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. Miloslav Stasek who highlighted the importance of Skoda Auto for Czech economy and its image. Managing Director of SKODA Auto India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Sudhir Rao mentioned the direction and aims of SKODA Auto in India. Mr. Miroslav Brandejsky, Product Manager of SKODA Auto India, consequently explained to the gathered audience the main features of new SKODA Superb - the model sports a new designs, fresh interiors and enhanced technological features. The new Superb confirms all the good values that have defined the model's success in India over the past ten years: lots of space, maximum functionality, highest levels of comfort, best safety and fantastic value for money.
Officially, SKODA Superb had its premiere at the New Delhi Auto Expo. The Superb is to be launched in the middle of first quarter. The second half of 2014 is to see the launch of the completely revised SKODA Yeti on the Indian market.
The SKODA Superb is the flagship of the Czech brand. SKODA first appeared on the Indian market in 2001 and is well poised for the next growth phase in India. The brand has since sold a total of 1,89,393 cars to customers in India. The Superb, Octavia and Yeti models are rolled out from SKODA's facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The Rapid is produced from Volkswagen's plant in Chakan, Pune.
The Superb was launched on the subcontinent in 2004; the Yeti in 2010. By the end of 2013, the manufacturer had delivered more than 15,593 Superbs and more than 4,576 Yetis to customers in India.
