Travel Medical Insurance - New Regulation

Starting from the 1st of October 2013 new rules regarding travel medical insurance will be introduced by Visa Section of Embassy of the Czech Republic.

Only insurance provided by below mentioned insurance companies will be accepted when applying for short-term Schengen Visa.

1) Apollo Munich for the age group of 6 months to 70 years
2) Bajaj Allianz for the age group of 6 months to 70 years
3) Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company for the age group of 0 month to 70 years
4) Future Generali India for the age group of 6 months to 70 years
5) HDFC Ergo for the age group of 3 months to 70 years
6) IFFCO Tokio for the age group of 3 months to 70 years
7) New India Assurance Company for the age group of 0 month to 60 years
8) Reliance for the age group of 3 months to 70 years
9) Royal Sundaram for the age group of 3 months to 70 years
10) Star Health and Allied Insurance for the age group of 6 months to 70 years
11) Tata/AIG for the age group of 6 months to 55 years
Silver Schengen Plan 56-70 years
Senior Schengen Plan 71-79 years
12) Oriental Insurance Company for the age group of 6 months to 60 years
13) United India Insurance Company for the age group of 0 month to 65 years
14) Universal Sompo for the age group of 0 month to 70 years
15)National Insurance Company for the age group of 6 months - 60 years
Schengen Plan 61- 80 years
16) ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company 3 months - 85 years

 

Applicants who are out of this age frame are obliged to cover they stay by insurance provided by any foreigner insurance company.

The minimum coverage remains the same. (30 000EUR)

All applicants are obliged to follow this regulation.

Applications without correct travel medical insurance will not be accepted.
