OECD Forum 2008 se uskutečnilo 3.-4. června 2008, MCM (zasedání Rady OECD na ministerské úrovni) pak 4.-5. června 2008

Vedoucím delegace ČR na MCM 2008 byl Ing. Martin Tlapa, MBA, náměstek ministra průmyslu a obchodu. Jedním z pozvaných řečníků v panelu „Financial market turbulence“ OECD Forum 2008, které se konalo také v novém Konferenčním centru OECD, pak byl prof. Jan Frait, ČNB.

Organizace pro hospodářskou spolupráci a rozvoj projednala ve dnech 4. a 5. června za přítomnosti vládních činitelů 30 nejvyspělejších zemí světa a nejvyšších představitelů mezinárodních organizací profilové otázky globální hospodářské situace, vlivu vývoje světových cen potravin a situace na finančních trzích na růstové perspektivy, ekonomické aspekty změn klimatu a sadu dalších významných otázek světové obchodní a rozvojové agendy a mezinárodního investování. OECD rovněž poprvé přivítala na vládní úrovni zástupce zemí, ucházejících se o členství v organizaci - Ruska, Chile, Estonska, Izraele a Slovinska a dále zemí, se kterými navazuje těsnější partnerství - Číny, Indie, Brazílie, Indonésie a Jihoafrické republiky. Úzká spolupráce OECD s těmito zeměmi prohlubuje význam organizace a globální dopad jejích výstupů.

Konference OECD v Paříži přijala mimo jiné společnou deklaraci členských států k činnosti státních investičních fondů, deklaraci k soudržnosti politik v oblasti rozvoje, schválila reformu financování OECD a projednala strategické priority zaměření činnosti organizace v budoucnosti.
