H.E. Mr. Pavel Rozsypal

Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the OECD, 2012–2017

Mr. Rozsypal received a Master’s degree (MSc.) specialised in Economy and Management of Energy from the Czech Technical University in Prague before receiving an MBA from Masaryk Institute/Sheffield Business School.

Mr. Rozsypal is an economist. He spent the last fifteen years in the private sector managing private equity and mergers and acquisition transactions. In the 1990s, he started his career at the Ministry of Economic Policy and Development of the Czech Republic acting as Director of the Department for Foreign Affairs before entering the Ministry of Economy as Director of the Centre for Foreign Assistance. Mr. Rozsypal then moved on to become Deputy General Manager of EPIC, a company that provides advisory services in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, financial consulting, consulting for PPP projects and business restructuring. He supported, amongst other, transactions of large foreign investors such as EdF or Ruhrgas.

Until his nomination as Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the OECD, Ambassador Pavel Rozsypal served as managing partner of his own company, SFINCS (Strategic and Financial International Consulting and Solutions, an advisory company in Prague focused on assisting businesses in their M&A effort.
