European Union present the best of his cinematic art to Canadian viewers

In the fall of this year, the EU will continue the long-standing tradition and it will once again present the best films of its Member States to Canadian viewers. There will be a series of festival screenings in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver, during which visitors will have a chance to watch 27 films in 23 languages. Czech Republic will present the film ‘Klauni’ (‘Clownwise’).

29th European Union Film Festival, Ottawa, 13 – 30 November 2014

The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place on November 12th, 2014, in the Auditorium of 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa (Library and Archives Canada building) and it will be attended by the Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, by EU Member States Ambassadors and by the representatives of the Canadian Film Institute, which is the main organizer of this public cultural project.

Each Festival evening will be introduced by EU Member State Ambassadors, who will briefly introduce the films. The Czech film ‘Klauni’ (‘Clownwise’) will be on the silver screen on November 25th, 2014 at 9 PM. You may watch the trailer below.

Advance tickets for each screening will be available to purchase online. Tickets can also be purchased half an hour before screening time at the box office outside the Auditorium (12 CAD). European Union Film Festival, Toronto, 15 – 30 November 2014

Viewers in Toronto will be able to watch festival films at ‘The Royal’, 608 Collega Street. The Czech Film ‘Klauni’ (‘Clownwise’) will be presented on November 24th, 2014 at 8:3 PM. More information about the program and tickets is available here:  www.thecinematheque.ca/eufilmfestival.

17th European Film Festival, Vancouver, 21 November  - 4 December 2014

The EU Film Festival will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, from November 21st, 2014 to December 4th, 2014. Czech film ‘Klauni’ will be playing on November 22nd, 2014 at 8:35 PM with Czech actress Eva Janíčková in attendance.
