Ambassador in Mauritius

On 6 June 2013 Ambassador B. Fajkusová took part in the EU-Mauritius political dialogue meeting.
On the agenda of the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Regional Integration Mr. Arvin Boolell was the discussion on the situation both in Mauritius and the EU, fight against piracy and promotion of maritime security, post 2015 UN Development Agenda, bilateral development co-operation, regional intergration and preparation of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Ministerial meeting in Bali. After the political dialogue the members of the EU delegation were received by the President of the Republic of Mauritius Mr. Rajkeswur Kailesh Purryag.
The EU maintain a political dialogue with majority of signatories of the Cotonou Agreement, covering the relations between the EU and the African, Carribean and Pacific countries. These are regular consultations, mostly with a yearly frequency, covering issues of mutual relations. The Head of the EU Delegation in the country usually leads the delegation on the EU side, which comprises also Ambassadors or their representatives from the EU Member States. The partner country´s delegation is usually led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador B. Fajkusová hold other bilateral meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Regional Integration and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, at Enterprise Mauritius and the Honorary Consulate in Port Louis.
