Deputy Minister Tlapa met Kosovar ministers

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Minister for European Integration and the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Kosovo on August 19, 2014.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa met with Minister for European Integration Gëzim Kasapolli and the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Kosovo, Bernard Nikaj on August 19, 2014.

The themes of the meeting were the practical implications of successfully negotiate a Stabilization and Association Agreement between the EU and Kosovo, mutual cooperation in the field of business and especially opportunities for Czech companies and investors in Kosovo. Czech deputy minister expressed support for the Kosovo Republic in the transformation effort and again promised willingness to share its experience in all areas of public administration, particularly in developing economic diplomacy, security, rule of law and privatization.

Deputy Minister and Kosovar ministers also discussed the possibility of the involvement of Czech entities to draw down funds for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) in Kosovo through participation in twinning projects. The partners also agreed on the importance of further deepening of bilateral contacts.
