Honour to the Czech soldiers who lost their lives in Kosovo

On 28 October, on the occasion of the Czech Statehood Day (28th October 1918, Declaration of the Independent Czechoslovakia), the Ambassador of the Czech Embassy in Pristina Mr Jiří Doležel paid a visit to the memorial of the Czech soldiers fallen in Kosovo. The two Czech soldiers – Staff Sergeant Luděk Severa and Master Sergeant Vlastislav Hendrich – tragically lost their lives near the village of Šajkovac as members of the KFOR mission on duty.
The Ambassador together with the commander of the current Czech KFOR contingent Major Matula honoured memory of the fallen soldiers by laying down flowers, a brief speech and a minute of silence´ observance. Czech members of the Czech KFOR contingent, staff of the Czech Embassy in Pristina, representatives of KFOR and representatives of the Podujevo Municipality participated in the ceremony.
