Czech Republic has been a constant contributor to different Afghan or international funds and programmes in Afghanistan. In 2012 an important part of the Czech humanitarian engagement in Afghanistan has been Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) implemented by PRT Logar again. Their main focus were mainly supplies of needed material to health facilities, local authorities or media, cleaning of weirs and canals, and small reconstructions/refurbishments of schools. In addition to that Czech Republic supported a humanitarian project of Caritas CZ “Providing Food Security in Parwan and Kapisa Provinces” (2 mil. CZK = approx. 100 mil. USD). more ►
2012 is in fact the last year of fully functioning Czech PRT in Logar Province. It has implemented 40 reconstruction and development projects in 2012 and 140 during its whole existence. more ►
The Czech Republic currently implements 4 bilateral projects in Afghanistan (2 in agriculture sector and 2 in education sector), total value: 18 mil. CZK (approx. 1 mil. USD).in 2012. In addition to that Czech Embassy in Kabul implemented 6 small local projects (total value: 0,5 mil. CZK = approx. 25 000 USD) in 2012. more ►
