Minister Schwarzenberg met in Prague his Palestinian counterpart Malki

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg met Foreign Minister of the Palestinian National Authority Riyad Malki at the Czernin Palace on April 2, 2013.
Both ministers discussed mainly the current situation in Syria and the issue of Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with emphasis on regional dynamics, role of Qatar and Muslim Brotherhood, as well as the results of the US President Obama’s March visit to Israel and Palestinian Territories. They agreed on forming a joint Czech-Palestinian Intergovernmental Committee lead by Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
During his visit, minister Malki held talks also with Lubomír Zaorálek, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and Hynek Kmoníček, Director of the Czech President’s Foreign Affairs Department.
