„The Best of Visegrad Cinema“ film festival

Festival of sixteen films from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary is organised under the auspices of Ambassador Milena Vicenová.

Festival „The Best of Visegrad Cinema“ will mark the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Visegrad Group. The festival takes place in Cinéma Vendôme in Brussels from 22 to 27 March 2011.

The festival is organised mainly by the Czech Film Centre with financial support of the International Visegrad Fund. It will present 16 of the best films (four from each of the V4 countries) documenting the successfulcooperation of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic inthe field of cinema.

The Czech Republic is represented by films “Who is Afraid of the Wolf”, “Citizen Havel”, “I Served the King of England” and “Empties”.

The festival is open to general public. Each film is featured in the original version andis supplemented by French and English or Dutch subtitles.

The event takes place under theauspices of the Czech Ambassador to the EU Milena Vicenová. The opening ceremony and cocktail reception will be held at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic in Brussels.
