The workshop ‘Safer railways via global navigation satelite systems‘ will be held on Thursday 25 November 2010 in the Prague House in Brussels. The main goal of this workshop is to examine and define the requirements of future users of the Galileo global satellite navigation system in the railway sector. This Galileo User Forum (GUF) workshop is organised by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic in collaboration with the Prague House and with the support of the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU.

At previous GUFs, representatives of industry, academia and EU institutions (European Commission, GSA Agency, ESA) discussed expectations and requirements of European satellite navigation system applications, for instance in the area of road transport, aviation or agriculture.
