New Deputy Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the EU

Ambassador Jakub Dürr has taken up the post of the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the EU.

Ambassador Dürr works as deputy to the head of the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels, Ambassador Milena Vicenová. He also represents the Czech Republic in COREPER I meetings of the Council of the European Union. With his counterparts from the other EU Member States, he deals with crucial issues of European policy and legislation in such areas as industry and the single market, energy, telecommunications, transport, agriculture, environment, social affairs, education and research and development.

Prior to this, Jakub Dürr held the posts of the vice-rector of the Palacký University in Olomouc and of the deputy minister of education, youth and sports with responsibility for EU affairs, among others.
