On 28 October 2009 the Embassy organized a celebration of the Czech National Day. The day-long event consisted among others of a two-hour show about the Czech Republic broadcasted live by the Saudi satelite television channel KSA2 and of an interview for the Saudi radio. In the afternoon, there was an inauguration of the Czech Rehabilitation Center in Riyadh, in the presence of Saudi investors, representatives of the Czech Embassy, Czech specialists and of Saudi media. The following celebratory reception that took place in the evening in the residence of the Czech Ambassador, Dr. Hladík,  was attended by representatives of Saudi authorities and organizations, diplomatic corps, Czech and Saudi businessmen, by the chairmanship of the Czech and Slovak expatriate´s society and by Saudi media.

Al-Dawood attends the reception at the Czech Embassy

His Excellency Dr. Nasir Al-Dawood, Undersecretary of the Governorate of Riyadh attended on behalf of Hir Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the reception held at the residence of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic His Excellency Dr. Lubomir Hladik on the occassion of the National Day of the Czech Republic.
His Excellency Dr. Al-Dawood was welcomed by His Excellency Dr. Hladik, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as by many officials of the Czech Embassy and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom.
