From 18th till 20th January 2012 the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Mr. Karel Schwarzenberg and his delegation visited the Kingdom of Bahrain. H.E. Karel Schwarzenberg has been accompanied by a business delegation of 9 Czech companies that was headed by a Czech Chamber of Commerce.

The main Bahraini partner was the Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Khalifa. H.E. Karel Schwarzenberg has been further received by His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa, His Highnes Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and held a dinner with Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdalla Al Khalifa.

The program of the visit also covered the Czech-Bahraini Business Forum at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry that was opened by the president of the cahmber Dr. Issam Abdulla Fakhro and from Czech side by a Deputy Minister Mr. Tomáš Dub.
