Large size fashion and advertisement photographs by leading Czech photographer Jiří Turek made on his assignments in cities like New York, London, Brussels as well as his home city of Prague are on show at Czech Info Center from February 3 to March 13, 2010.

Famous Bambini di Praga spent a fortnight in and around Seoul on their fourth tour of the Republic of Korea in the last years.

JANUARY – documentary films on North Korea, DR Congo, Burma and former Czechoslovakia to be shown in Czech Info Centre

Five different films on the topic of human rights will be shown throughout January 2010 in Czech Info Centre on the occassion of the 20th anniversary of the end of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. Among them a new Czech films „Welcome to North Korea!“ (dir. Linda Jablonská, 2009) and „Tears of Congo“ (dir. Olga Šilhová, 2009).

SEOUL – Czech writer in unique Korean-language literary anthology

Jan Balabán´s short story „A Boy“ (Kluk) represented modern Czech writers in the first ever wide Korean-language selection of modern European literatures.

SEOUL – Czech Květa Pacovská main guest of CJ Picture Book Festival

World famous Czech visual artist Květa Pacovská opened her special exhibition on the occassion of the 2nd CJ Picture Book Festival in Seoul. Her paintings as well as 3D objects were presented to Korean public in Korea Foundation Cultural Center.

SEOUL – Another Czech musical, Jack the Ripper, hits Korean stage

Seoul saw the premiere of another Czech musical - Jack the Ripper - by well-known hitmaker Vašo Patejdl. The show will be on stage at Universal Arts Center until January 31, 2010.

NOVEMBER-JANUARY – Unforgettable Fall of 1989

Series of exhibitions under the theme „Unforgettable Fall of 1989“ depicting the communist regime in Czechoslovakia and its fall at the end of 1989 will be held in various places in Seoul.

The last stop of Prague Chamber Orchestra with conductor Charles Olivieri-Munroe and soprano Marie Fajtová during their Asian „Toyota Classics 2009“ tour was Seoul.
