Article by Andreas Schirmer and Jaroslav Olša, jr. describes the life and work of forgotten Korean historian, archaeologist and translator of Korean literature Han Hung-su (1909-?), who was behind the creation of Korean studies in Central Europe, while living and working in Austria, Switzerland and Czechoslovakia between 1936-1948.
