SEOUL – international Antonín Dvořák composition competition announced

The 1st international composition competition named after famous Czech composer Antonín Dvořák has been announced in the Republic of Korea.

The very first International Antonín Dvořák Composition Competition (www.iadcc.eu, www.iadcc.kr) has been announced in Seoul, the Republic of Korea in December 2009. The competition pays tribute to the memory of the great Czech composer Antonín Dvořák and his musical achivements and seeks to discover young and talented composers. The international jury is composed of many leading musicians and music professors, a.o. Mr. Choi Young Chul, the director of this competition and director of well-known oratorium complex Seouloratorio, knowned for their high quality Dvořák´s interpretation, Mr. Pavel Trojan, director of Prague Conservatory, Mr. Ladislav Kubík, music composer and professor of the Florida State University and a grandson of a famous composer, Mr. Antonín Dvořák III, the president of this competition, himself a composer as well.

The first round deadline has been set for April 3, 2010.
