Within the official opening in the presence of the author and around 250 guests the personal message of Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov was read and among the others the Minister of Culture Elizabeta Kancheska Milevska and Ambassador Miroslav Rameš held brief speeches.

The Ambassador in his speech mentioned that this year we remember many important jubilees (centenary since the beginning of World War I, 25 years since the fall of the Iron Curtain, 15 years since the accession of the Czech Republic to NATO and 10 years since the accession to the European Union), and pointed out that the activity is at the same time a dignified remembrance of 20 years since establishing of diplomatic relations between Macedonia and the Czech Republic. The recent visit of President Gjorge Ivanov to Prague according to his words confirmed that the friendly relations of our countries are not overburdened with problems and have potential to further actively develop in many areas.
