Opening of a Classroom for Visually Impaired Children

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Macedonia M. Rameš officially opened a specialized classroom for visually impaired children in Gostivar.

On 8.10.2012 the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Macedonia M. Rameš along with the Mayor of the City of Gostivar R. Osmani opened a specialized classroom for visually impaired children. The complete reconstruction of the classroom and its total technical equipping for handicapped children were realized from the financial means for the Small Local Projects provided by the Czech Development Agency for 2012.

This is a second such equipping of a classroom in Macedonia and the importance of the project amounting to 12,000 € is in the integration of visually impaired children in the regular classes – the classroom is a part of the Primary School M. K. Atatürk. According to the Mayor of Gostivar this is a unique project not only within Macedonia but also within the scales of the whole region.
