A part of the reception was the official opening of the exhibition of the two Czech artists Jiří Kovanda and Petra Jovanovská. Also diplomas and medals were given to the children who were awarded in this year’s edition of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.

The event took place at Chifte Amam – a building of a former Turkish bath, which is at present used as exhibition space of the National Gallery of Macedonia. Both exhibited artists took part at the official opening of the exhibition. The reception started with the introduction speech of the Director of the National Gallery Maja Nedelkovska – Brzanova and Ambassador Miroslav Rameš. Afterwards the diplomas and medals were handed to the successful participants of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice, the competition which every year inspires greater interest among Macedonian children.

Members of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, almost the whole diplomatic choir and many artists, compatriots and friends of the Czech Republic were present at the reception.
