“Czech Nationality Act”, in effect from 1^st January 2014, gives to certain categories of former Czech and Czechoslovak citizens the possibility of regaining citizenship by declaration. Declarations are also accepted from persons born outside the Czechoslovak Republic between 1^st October 1949 and 7^th May 1969, if at least one of the parents was a Czechoslovak national and became (or would have become) a Czech national on 1^st  January 1969. However, these persons must present their declarations before 1^st January 2015.
