Thanks to the Jazz Workshop Australia, we have opportunity to see this incredible guitarist from Prague with two legends of the local scene, drummer John Morrison and bassist, Brendan Clarke.

Libor Šmoldas is a Prague based jazz guitarist and composer. Besides top Czech and European musicians he has worked and recorded with international stars George Mraz, Jeff Ballard, Sam Yahel, Bobby Watson, Adam Nussbaum, Libor has released four albums as a leader with two more to be released in 2013: Libor Šmoldas, Adam Nussbaum, Jay Anderson trio Libor Šmoldas Quartet & Bobby Watson
In spite of his being awarded a scholarship to Berklee School of Music in 2005, he has been living in Prague all his life and visiting the U.S.A. While in the United States, Libor recorded with Nussbaum, Anderson, Mraz, Ballard and Yahel. Working on several other projects, Libor had the opportunity to present himself in China, Australia, USA and of course most of well-known European cities.
In spite of his young age is Libor widely considered to be one of the best jazz guitarists in the country and a leading representative of his generation.
“Šmoldas' melodic lines move gracefully and happily through the music..... lovely electric guitar work.“ All About Jazz, NYC
