Czech presence at QM&E Exhibition 2014

Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition in Mackay has its tradition since 1993. It has become the leading industrial exhibition in central Queensland, and this year, Czech Republic has had its largest representation ever.

Czech TATRA Truck Company started its production in Koprivnice, Czech Republic in 1897, and it is one of the oldest vehicle producers in the world. TATRA Truck Company has its sole importer in Australia already for more than 15 years represented by Larry Gill. Offroad Trucks Australia has its HQ in Western Australia, and just recently opened its branch in Mackay, Queensland. Larry, who has been engaged with Czech producer for several years, has been successfully selling TATRA Trucks in Construction, Forestry or Fire Fighting industries. This year, Larry brought to the exhibition Czech KOVOBEL demountable containers in addition. Czech made sheds suitable mainly for constructions and mining industries are widely exported across the world, and they did attract a lot of attention in Mackay as well. They all were sold out during the first day of the show.

Slew Bearing Services Pty Ltd is trusted supplier of high quality, and custom built slew bearings for solid and segmented designs. Czech Robert Panovsky founded the company 2008, and has already supplied bearings to South Africa, India, South-East Asia, Oceania, and South America.

Baťa Australia has been producing industrial shoes in here already since 1961. World known Bata Shoe Corporation was founded in 1894 in Zlin, Czech Republic, and the company has its presence in over 60 countries. Since the foundation in Australia, Baťa Industrial has produced more than 40 million pairs of shoes. Currently Gumboots are being produced in Mornington, Victoria.
