Invitation to inaugural meeting of Czech - New Zealand Business Association

Czech business interests in New Zealand are getting reinforced thanks to establishing of Czech - New Zealand Business Association in Auckland supported by Škoda NZ, BusinexNZ and the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Auckland, Gregory Shanahan. Consulate of the Czech Republic in Sydney welcomes the initiative and looks forward to future cooperation. Inaugural meeting is taking place on the 5th December 2012 in Auckland to which are invited all corporate entities and interested individuals.

The trade relation betwen the two countries is dynamic, the export from the Czech Republic to New Zealand has been growing since 2009, the last year represented 45,7 mil.USD. For three quarters of 2012 it has already attained 42,3 mil.USD. The imports from NZ are of the half value.

Following is the invitation for inaugural meeting of Czech New Zealand Business Association. All potential members are welcome.

WHEN: Wednesday, 5 December 2012, 5.15 PM

VENUE: ŠKODA NZ, European Motor Distributors, 1 Nixon Street, Grey Lynn, Auckland

AGENDA:

1. Introduction and record those present
2. Resolve to establish an incorporated Czech New Zealand Business Association
3. Adopt draft constitution
4. If adopted, sign the constitution as the initial members - this can be done in both corporate capacity and individual capacity, as appropriate
5. Identify Patrons to be approached to accept appointment
6. Conduct the Inaugural meeting of the CNZBA:
a. Appoint officers - President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and committee members
b. Establish committee meeting schedule and AGM dates and annual balance date
c. Open and operate a bank account - sign mandate for the opening and operation of the account
d. Establish membership fees - see attached budget of set-up costs and annual operating expenses
e. Initial launch of the CNZBA - plan event, venue, invitees, media release
f. Membership drive - plan
g. Executive director
h. Income sources: Subscriptions, Sponsorship (general), Sponsorship (events)
i. Event surpluses
j. Advertising: website, newsletter, literature and other collaterals
k. Donations
l. Expenses: Set-up costs including stationery, website, professional services
7. Other business
8. Close meeting
