Visa & Consular Information
Please note that visa applications which are incomplete will not be accepted. As a general rule all applicants have to apply in person. All payments may be made in Australian dollars only. Submission of any application requires presentation of the original passport (NOT A COPY!) Only original documents signed and/or stamped by issuing body will be accepted (NOT e-mailed or faxed copies of such documents, except in cases where it is explicitly stated that photocopies are sufficient). All supporting documents must be issued by real provider, not intermediary. Travel health insurance must be issued by insurance company and cannot be substituted by employer’s or inviting person’s declaration. Likewise accommodation can only be confirmed by hotel or real apartment owner/resident and cannot be substituted by intermediary’s declaration. Applicants themselves must present all required documents when submitting application. Reference to other‘s person/organization assurances is not sufficient. Applicants can pick up passport with visas themselves, or can authorize someone else (by power of attorney certified by J.P.) to do so on their behalf. With applicant‘s consent, the passport can also be sent back by mail (provided that applicant provided pre-paid envelope).
Following Australian new sticker free visa arrangements, starting from 1st May 2013 all Australian visa holders who haven’t Australian visa sticker in their passports and are applying for Czech/Schengen visas are required to arrange for visa verification to be delivered to e-mail address email@example.com from VISA ENTITLEMENT VERIFICATION ONLINE (VEVO).
THE CONSULATE DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION REGARDING VEVO ! IT IS THE EXCLUSIVE AUTHORITY OF AUSTRALIAN DEPARTMENT OF IMMIGRATION AND CITIZENSHIP.
