New item to apply for a long stay visa - an extract from the Registry of Criminal Records !!!

Starting from 1st of January 2009 all applications for long-stay visas / long-term residence permits must be additionally supported by an Extract from the Registry of Criminal Records or a similar document from the country of which the applicant is a citizen or from the countries in which the applicant resided for an uninterrupted period of more than six months in the previous three years. ( An extract from the Registry of criminal records is not required from an applicant under the age of 15)
