Official visit of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Nečas in Estonia on April 18, 2013

The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Nečas made an official visit to Estonia in the 18th of April 2013. He met with his Estonian counterpart Andrus Ansip and the President of Estonian Parliament Ene Ergma.

The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Nečas made an official visit to Estonia in the 18th of April 2013. He met with his Estonian counterpart Andrus Ansip and the President of Estonian Parliament Ene Ergma. The delegation was accompanied by Czech businessmen and within their schedule the PMs opened the Czech-Estonian business seminar.

The development of economic cooperation was one of the main topics of discussion. Despite the fact, that the Czech-Estonian trade exchange is on its historical height, the politicians agreed on the need of further intensification of mutual exchange. The Czech Republic expressed its warm interest in economic cooperation, especially in the field of advanced technologies, energy and transport.

Prime Minister Nečas announced the decision of the Czech Republic to join the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence in Tallinn. Nečas and his partners agreed that the cooperation among universities and research institutions is an area with a great potential for further development. In addition, there were talks dedicated to the current situation in the EU, the Eastern Partnership as well as the transport and energy infrastructure in Baltics.
