Visiting Irakli Kandareli, Honorary Citizen of Opava, in Gori

On 9 October 2014, Ambassador of the Czech Republic Tomáš Pernický, accompanied by Consul Sabina Cingrošová and Adjutant Defence Attaché CWO Roman Mrkvička, visited the 91-year-old Col. Irakli Kandareli in the town of Gori. In 1945, Mr. Kandareli took part in the liberation of several Czechoslovak cities, mainly in Northern Moravia, and is now the Honorary Citizen of the city of Opava.
