UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2013/2014
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic annually offers 4 scholarships to Israeli nationals, pursuant to bilateral intergovernmental or deparmental agreements. Scholarships are awarded to applicants nominated by the competent authorities. Application deadline is due to the end of February 2013. CZECH LANGUAGE SUMMER VACATION COURSE
This is a four-week, summer vacation Czech language course intended for Czech compatriots over 18 years of age who live abroad and would like to learn their predecessors' language or improve their existing Czech language skills. The course gives them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Czech culture and get to know part of the Czech Republic. Tuition takes place in groups according to ability level and is led by experienced teachers. A generous extracurricular programme (forums, excursions, lectures, weekend day trips, etc.) is prepared for course participants. Language tuition and board and lodging are provided to course participants free of charge, and they receive a financial contribution towards travel to and from the Czech Republic. Health care costs are covered within the scope laid down in Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on Residence of Foreigners in the Czech Republic and on Amendment of Some Other Acts, as amended. Upon completing the course, participants receive a graduation certificate.

Application forms may be submitted only via Czech embassies, and must be submitted by 15 March of the year in which the course is to be held.
SUMMER SCHOOLS OF SLAVONIC STUDIES
The Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic is offering 6 scholarships to Israeli students interested in the Czech language and culture for the Summer School of Slovanic Studies. The scholarship covers the fee, accommodation and food. Applications should be submitted at the Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv by the end of February 2013.

משרד החינוך, הנוער והספורט של הרפובליקה הצ'כית מציע שש מלגות לסטודנטיםישראליים המתעניינים בשפה והתרבות הצ'כית. המלגה ללימודי קיץ בבית הספר ללימודים סלאביים כוללת שכר לימוד, מגורים ואוכל. את הבקשות למלגה יש להגיש לשגרירות צ'כיה בתל אביב לא יאוחר מסוף פברואר 2013
The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies offering Czech language courses are organised by several public universities in the Czech Republic. The courses are held during the summer months (July - September), their length ranges from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the course content determined by each Summer School and are designed for foreign students, teachers, translators and interpreters and others interested in the field of Czech/Slavonic studies or Czech language. Due to their broad scope they are, however, open to anyone else who is interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture. The Summer Schools offer language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars on the Czech literature, culture and history, free-time activities including theatrical, musical and dance performances, trips etc.

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS AT PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Research fellowships at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic are intended for Czech compatriots living abroad. They focus on maintaining and spreading knowledge of the Czech language and cultural consciousness. Compatriots may study subjects such as Czech language and literature; Czech language and literature pedagogy, history, ethnology, art history, or theology. These one- or two-semester courses are held in Czech, usually at the Faculty of Philosophy of a university in the Czech Republic. Students who are accepted receive a scholarship, a financial contribution towards travel to and from the Czech Republic, and are entitled to board and lodging for the same price as Czech students. Upon completing their studies, students receive a graduation certificate or confirmation.
Application forms may be submitted only via Czech embassies, and must be submitted by 31 March for the winter and summer semester.
