Ambassador B. Tomášová visited southern parts of Albania

On July 11 – 13, 2012, Mrs. Bronislava Tomášová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Albania, visited cities of Vlora, Gjirokastra and Saranda.
During the meetings held with Prefects and Mayors of the cities, mainly the topics of tourism and environment were identified as areas with high potential in mutual cooperation. In Vlora, Mrs. Tomášová met Mr. Eduard Veçani, Prefect of the Province; in Gjirokastra, the meeting with Mrs. Mimoza Çomo, Prefect of the Province, and Mr. Flamur Bime, Mayor of the City, were held; in Saranda, the Ambassador met with Mr. Gjergji Mano, Prefect of the Region, and Mr. Stefan Çipa, Mayor of the City.
Guided by Mayor Çipa, Ambassador Tomášová visited the ancient archeological park in Butrint protected by the UNESCO and together with Mr. Aldo Bumçi, Minister of Tourism of Albania, , and Mr. Alexander Arvizu, Ambassador of the United States to Albania, she took part in solemn ceremony of inaugurating electronic cash register at the entrance to the park. Mayor of Saranda, Mr. Stefan Çipa, assured Czech Ambassador of his willingness to continue the initiative of the former Mayor and develop partnership with the Municipality of Prague 6.
