Solemn signing of the Agreement on the implementation of the development project for the improvement of the perinatological and neonatological healthcare in Albania

The Embassy of the Czech Republic together with the Queen Geraldina Hospital in Tirana concluded the Agreement on the implementation of the development project for the improvement of the perinatological and neonatological healthcare in Albania on June 7, 2012.

The project is part of the Official Development Assistance of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Albania in the year 2012. This development cooperation project aims to support efforts of Albanian doctors to lower high death rate of prematurely born children in Albania. Two Albanian doctors from the Queen Geraldina Hospital in Tirana will be trained in the specialized department of the General University Hospital and the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Prague and necessary equipment for sterilization of surgery and baby cribs for Tirana hospital will be purchased in the framework of the project. The Czech Republic supports the project in the amount of 200.000 CZK.
