V4 + Japan Energy Workshop

V4 + Japan Workshop on Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Nuclear Safety was held on April 12, 2012 in Tokyo.

The Workshop was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo.

The main goal of the event that was organized during the Czech Republic V4 Presidency was to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between Japan and V4 countries, which consist of the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Republic of Poland and the Slovak Republic.

The workshop focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy and nuclear safety, in which V4 countries and Japan have a great interest. The aims were to deepen the understanding of V4 countries of Japanese efforts in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy and nuclear safety, and also to explore the possibility of concrete Japan-V4 cooperation.

Czech Republic was represented by Mr. Vaclav Bartuska, Ambassador at-large for Energy Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and Mr. Antonin Beran, Deputy Director, Department of Energy Security, Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic.
