TIFF Kids International Film Festival brings to Toronto’s audience Czech movie The Blue Tiger

From April 10 to 22, 2012, TIFF Kids International Film Festival (formerly known as the Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for Children and Youth) featured the very best in Canadian and International children’s cinema and offered a variety of movies for ages 3 through 13.

Czech Republic is represented by feature length movie The Blue Tiger (Modrý tygr) by Petr Oukropec intended for children 8-11 years of age.

Two friends, Johanka and Matyas, take upon themselves to protect a magical Blue Tiger who can save the old botanical garden from its demolition. The city’s mayor and his accomplices are on a mission to transform the beautiful botanical gardens into an entertainment center. The Blue Tiger’s mysterious powers and Johanka and Matyas’s wit and imagination are the only weapons how to stop the transformation.
