Czech Republic accomplished and handed over modern waste water treatment plant

On November 25, 2010 was in the presence of the ambassador of the Czech Republic V. Jílek handed over for exploitation one of the biggest projects of the Czech development cooperation in the aimag Darkhan Uul – waste water treatment plant.

Ceremonial act that took place on November 25, 2010 was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the CR, namely by ambassador V. Jílek and head of commercial and economic section P. Žáková, representatives of local administration, Czech provider company Eurosound Co. Ltd., tanning factory Nekhii (where the plant was built) and a number of Mongolian media.

Project named “Construction of waste water treatment plant for leather manufacturing plant in Darkhan” was realized in years 2006-2010 with the overall budget reaching almost 1.3 million USD. This waste water treatment plant is the first one in Mongolia which was built in accordance with European norms and standards and thus fulfils strict environmental requirements. This project is another proof of traditionally friendly relations between the Czech Republic and Mongolia.
