Contamination survey and design of remediation in the industrial area of Hargia in Ulaanbaatar

The project aims at improvement of environment (mainly for the ecosystems bounded on the river Tuul) and health of population in the area of Hargia in the Khan-Uul Khoroo district through remediation of contamination from the treatment plant of Hargia. The project includes contamination survey, installation of monitoring probes in areas potentially threatened by contamination, testing of selected way of remediation and design of necessary technical measures in the process of tannery waste treatment. In addition, all contaminated sludge and soil will be securely stored at Morin Davaa dump.
