In the Great Gobi B Strictly Protected Area in SW Mongolia Przewalski´s horses have been reintroduced since 1992. There is an urgent need to improve patrolling and feeding strategy for wild horses in winter time. The Zoo Prague will reintroduce 4 horses to Khomiin Tal reservation in June this year and possible transport them later to Gobi B. The project will result in building of ranger’s cabin in Gobi B, providing suitable vehicles for rangers, improvement of the local radio communication, and support of ranger’s families (socioeconomic measures, such as selling of their products in the Czech Republic). Trilateral Memorandum of Understanding is being prepared to be signed by the Ministry of Finances, ITG Takhi Group and CzDA.
