Czech development project on preservation of Przewalski horses

On October 26, 2011 two automobiles were ceremonially handed over to Gobi-B reserve, where the Czech Republic has been implementing one of her development projects.
On October 26, 2011, two automobiles (1 UAZ Furgon and 1 Land Cruiser-80) were handed over to Mr. Ganbaatar, director of Gobi B strictly protected area, where the Czech Republic has been implementing one of her development projects “The improvement of the conservation measures of re-introduction of Przewalski horse population in Gobi B strictly protected area”. At this event which took place by the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Mongolia participated the ambassador of the Czech Republic V. Jílek, the director of Prague ZOO M. Bobek, other Czech and Mongolian representatives and media.
This project has begun in 2011 and will be continuing until 2013. One of the project activities was accomplished in June this year, when four Przewalski horses were transported from Prague ZOO to Khomiin Tal reserve. Within the scope of this project there will be also built two posts for rangers, two haylofts, car garages, the local radio net will be modernized, large stress will be, indeed, laid on the socio economic development of the area through engagement of local communities.
