Seminar about Czech technologies and know -how in the water management sector

On December 6, 2012, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar in cooperation with the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized seminar focused on the presentation of Czech technologies and know- how in water management throughout the whole process, including legislation. Totally, 11 Czech companies and institutions were presenting. Conference hall was fully occupied by around one hundred Mongolians interested in further cooperation.

Seminar with motto “Water above Gold” was launched by Mrs. I. Grollová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic and Mrs. Oyunchimeg, vice-chairwoman of MNCCI. Mr. M. Pastvinský, director of the Czech Development Agency emphasized the experience and knowledge which many Czech companies acquired in Mongolia through the implementation of numerous bilateral development projects. A representative of the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic has offered technical assistance to the representatives of Mongolian state and local administrations in integrating water management standards into national legislation and other institutional frameworks.

Subsequently 8 Czech companies presented step by step consultancy activities covering all works from hydrogeology through sewage treatment plants, expert advice until - a new product for Mongolia - cogeneration units. Companies were: Geomindružstvo, GEOtest, Vodní zdroje, Eurosound, EcofluidGroup/Inekon Group, SwecoHydroprojekt, Dekonta, Tedom and T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute, public research institution.
